Tania Romero - Director, writer, editor, script supervisor, teacher
Originally from Nicaragua, Tania Romero received her undergraduate Psychology degree with a Film Studies minor from Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, P.A. and her Master's in Media Studies from the University of Texas, Austin. Her training in filmmaking includes a summer program with the New York Film Academy in Florence, Italy. She has worked on several local film projects and her IMDB credits include editor for a feature documentary "Ya Basta" (2007) and script supervisor/assistant editor for the Cannes Film Festival selected short "Sarathi" (2010).
She has been a filmmaking instructor at a high school in Austin for 6 years, and also teaches post-production courses as an Adjunct Instructor at the Art Institute of Austin. Currently she is working toward a Doctorate in the Visual Arts. She is fluent in Spanish, and speaks French and Portuguese.
